Conference Lineup and Schedule Finalized!

The conference schedule has been finalized and posted up on the conference page. We'll be starting off the conference with lightning talks at the Public N3rd Area at the Friday night party starting at 8:00pm and then will rock the night away with DJ Keith Myers, DJ Jackalope, and Visual FX by Binary Millenium. On Saturday we'll kick off the day with 20 minute talks starting at 10:30am at the Last Supper Club and then after dinner have some drinks in LSC's exclusive Gallery room. Sunday workshops and festivities will start at noon and at 6:00pm everyone will meet up at the PNA for a catered dinner followed by the sunday night afterparty for any of those who have survived the weekend and are still around.

First Round of Talks Selected!

We've just finished our first round of talk selection and have the list of accepted talks posted at the conference page. We'll be finalizing the lineup on April 4th, so make sure to submit your CFP before then if you haven't already! Also, if you are interested in sponsoring ToorCon Seattle, please email George Spillman for information since we will also be finalizing our sponsor list on April 4th as well!

ToorCon Seattle Announced!

ToorCon Seattle was created as a small get together for ToorCon staff, supporters and past speakers to meet up and have fun in Seattle. To try and keep it a small conference we made it invite only and limited the number of people we invited. If you feel like you contributed to ToorCon and didn't get an invite last year, please let us know. Otherwise, ToorCon in San Diego has always been open to the general public is extremely affordable and does not have a cap on attendance.

This year ToorCon Seattle will be happening once again! We're scheduling the conference for the weekend of April 18th-20th where we'll kick off the event with a hosted reception at the Public N3rd Area on Friday night, talks once again at the Last Supper Club on Saturday with festivities at the club on Saturday night, and we'll finish off the weekend with hands-on workshops at the Public N3rd Area on Sunday as well as other social activities happening around town.

ToorCamp 2009

In addition to the biannual ToorCon Seattle, we are pleased to now pre-announce ToorCamp! ToorCamp is slated to occur in the alternating years between ToorCon Seattle. We will release more details in the near future about ToorCamp, but it will be open to the general public and will be at a location in the mountains near Seattle.

The Conference

Admission to the conference will be limited to only those who have ToorCon Seattle Golden Tickets from last year's event. In order to raise funds for ToorCamp, the Public N3rd Area, and the Hacker Foundation and to cover the costs of running ToorCon Seattle we will be charging admission to the conference starting this year.
